A favourite amongst Melburnians, 151 Dalgetty Road usually has a spectacular display of over 500,000 lights. It is not yet confirmed whether or not it will be up for 2022.
In addition to its beautiful window, 151 Dalgetty Road also has a Christmas village. This will be switched on on 4 December, 2022.
The lights on 118 The Boulevard have been a family favourite in Melbourne for almost a decade. During this time, the lights have raised funds for the Heart Foundation. They were also the winner of an Australian Tourism Award for its spectacular display.
Elf Street in Coburg is another one of Melbourne’s most impressive Christmas lights displays. It features a Santa’s house, a reindeer-led sleigh, and thousands of twinkly lights. Moreover, the street is animated, featuring a nativity scene, a train, and animated bears.

The Bittern house in the outer south-east of Melbourne is a dazzling light display. Its display is comprised of thousands of lights, nine snow machines, a laser light show, bubbles, inflatables and more.
There’s more to this year’s Bittern display than meets the eye. In addition to the lights, there will be a creative nativity scene.
Vialls Avenue is another well-known Christmas light street. This year, it has been upgraded with 72 new LED boxes. The lights are switched on from 8.30pm – 10.30pm, and you can walk through the displays.
For years, the Boulevard has been a family favourite. The displays have been set up by the van Stokrom family. Each year, their Christmas lights feature a Citroen 2CV, large magical mice, moving Santas and more.

It’s Christmas time in Melbourne, and the city’s best Christmas lights are being adorned in the dazzling displays in Federation Square. From November 26 until Christmas Day, the iconic Victorian building will be adorned in beautiful lights and baubles. The square also hosts many festive activities.
Visitors can take part in the Glow in the Dark festival, which features a variety of events. This event will feature a Cinderella carriage, a magical glittering bridge and giant toys. There will also be an aquatic display and enchanting trails.
Fed Square is also home to Santa’s workshop, which will be open for visitors to take part in a variety of activities. You can even take photos with Santa and his elves.

The Myer Christmas Windows, which have been running since 1956, are a wonderful exhibit for children. Each year, the store’s window displays change to a new theme. This year’s theme is ‘Disney’s 100 Years’.
This is the 66th year for the window displays, which will feature more than 100 animated movements. They will be open daily from 7.30pm to 10pm until Christmas Eve.
